Blefaroplasty

Blefaroplasty or eyelid surgery is the procedure that is carried out to improve the eyelid aspect as it eliminates the excess of skin in the eyelid and at the same time the tiny fat deposits that could have been formed with the passing of time. With the procedure, you will obtain a more youthful aspect and a lighted up face and a more awake and alert expression.

Technically it consists in perform an incision on the upper eyelid, -respecting the natural lines of expression- and to withdraw the excessive skin, doing the same thing respect to the lower eyelid.? Once retreat the skin, the Dr. Cárdenas will remodel the muscles that permit to open and to close the eyes and will extract the tiny fat deposits previously described; finally the wounds are sutured.

Depending on the case, the lower eyelid blefaroplasty can be carried out in a transconjuntival way (inside the eyelid), with the advantage of leaving the scar inside of the conjunctive. There will be placed gauzes and a dressing on the head.
