Process of Depilation
Let?s start with an explanation of the different types of skins that exist:
- Skin type I always burns, never is tanned.
- Skin type II generally burns, at times is tanned.
- Skin type III at times burns, generally tannes.
- Skin type IV never burns always tannes.
- Skin type V moderate constitutional pigmentation.
- Skin type VI? intense constitutional pigmentation.
As we know, to the extent that exist more melanin at the skin, the darker it will be
and more it will tend to resist the light.? Our laser works emitting the ray of light
previously described with the objective of being absorbed by the pigment melanin.?
Once it absorbs the ray, is so much the energy that this evaporates the melanin, and,
at the same time, the germinal layers in the hair follicle are eliminated.
For descriptive objectives, we will refer to the terminal hair as that present in
legs, back, chest, arms and face. Now we should describe simply the 3 phases in
which the terminal hair is found and they are:
- An?gena: known as active phase (phase where is found
melanin in formation) and in which is found almost the 85% of the terminal hair,
although can last various years.
- Cat?gena: known as passive phase, where the part that
gives origin al follicle involutes and can last some three weeks.
- Tel?gena: known as phase of fall, when with the follicle
in regression gives place for the formation of a new one.? The hair in this phase is
the remainder 10 to 15%.
It is important to clarify that the skins? that will present more optimum results
than other are due to the apparition of secondary effects and complications.
In our center, the Diode Light Sheer? permits an optimum performance in the skin
types I, II, III, and IV.
There it will be that to add to the factors that affect the performance as
they are:
- The density of the area to treat, since to greater density by cm2, the
performance will not be as good as with those of smaller densities.?
- The type of Follicle will also influence in the meantime it has greater
quantity of melanin, since the zones that are felt with thicker and black hair,
will be the ones that respond earlier.
Technically, the procedure consists of applying rays of light with the Laser of
Diode Sheer, that is absorbed in the melanin in the follicles; this evaporates and
destroys the part that gives origin the hair.? All this is carried out in thousandths
of second by means of laser light pulses.
During the process you can experience, light inconveniences, consistent with small
itches, pinch or light pinches, so we include highly effective anesthetic creams that
will help to carry the procedure of optimum form.? As already we had mentioned, during
the procedure, the upper layer of the skin (epidermis) will be protected by the tip of
the laser, the Chill Tip TM that chills before applying, during the application and
once is finished to permit to apply more energy in the zone to treat.
Depending on the size of the zone, the processing can go of some minutes of duration
to an hour or more.
Once it finalize the process, the appearance of the treated area can vary depending
on the type of skin and patient, considering it to regulate immediate effects as erythema
and a light inflammation that will not be more than two hours.
The majority of the patients require several sessions of depilation, because is
required some state of development in the hair for his destruction as already we saw
before.? Therefore, between the first and second appointment, the patient will have a
rank from 3 to 4 weeks when it is administered the Laser Diode Sheer in face and some
7 to 8 weeks when is performed on another part of the body.? For a subsequent procedure,
we will expect a period of 3-4 months and successively. The subsequent precautions
consist in the use of solar blockers and to avoid the sun exposure al to avoid the
hypo or hyperpigmented areas in a period of a month at least.
An important point to consider is that there are a few?? contraindications of the
procedure, being the main, those rare illnesses that affect connective tissue as the
Systemic Erythematous Lupus, Scleroderma and Dermatomyositis. At the same time, there
will be also another type of contraindications that will be evaluated in your first
visit.
To finalize, in a general context, we have that a 85% of the patients that are
submitted to the depilation with the Diode of Laser Sheer manage to eliminate
permanently from a 90 to 95% of the undesired terminal hair.
