ChemicalPeeling
The Chemical Peeling consists in the application of agents on the skin that ?by means of expholiation (or "to
peel") permit to eliminate the skin external layers, with the purpose of producing a regeneration in these and
to improve their appearance.
This procedure is useful when an improvement of some scars is desired (ex. Chicken pox or Acne), to produce a
less visible hyper-pigmentations, spots and freckles; to improve the appearance of the skin when it has been
exposed to the sun and to make an important wrinkle decreasing.
According to the substance that is utilized would be the depth and penetration of the peeling.
Generally, the use of anesthesia is not necessary.?The greater the depth, the more changes. The zone also is
important, presenting better results when it is carried out in the face and less predictable results when it
is carried out in the hands.
This procedure is carried out generally in an interim from 15 minutes to one or two hours, since all this
depends on the substance that would be utilized and the surface of the area to treat.
During the procedure is possible that you experience some itch, followed by light inflammation, erythema or
red appearence and alterations in the sensibility.
Once it is finalized, the period of recovery is proportional to the depth of the peeling, being of a pair of
days in the superficial layers and even a month with those deeper.
